Fall Events and Activities at Vermont Ski Areas

Autumn in Vermont is hard to beat. Fall foliage, brewfests and flannels make for the quintessential New England experience. Many of Vermont’s ski areas will be hosting brewfests and Octoberfests as well as providing scenic chairlift rides for leaf peeping.

Some events that caught my eye

Killington:

  • Wobbly Barn Halloween Party – October 30: The legendary spine-chilling Wobbly Barn Nightclub opens its doors October 30 for the most thrilling Halloween costume party in town! We’re kicking off the Wobbly Barn Nightclub season with the wizardly skills of DJ Stevie B on the 1’s & 2’s. You won’t want to vanish on this night as there will be plenty of tricks and treats to be had on the spookiest night of the year! Door proceeds benefit the Killington Volunteer Fire Department. Costumes are required for admission and it’s worth putting some thought into it because there are big prizes on the line. Best Costume – Killington Season Pass. Best Couple – 2 Season Passes to Pico Mountain. Best Group – Dinner at the Wobbly Barn.

Mount Snow:

  • 23rd Annual Mount Snow Oktoberfest – October 9: Our Mount Snow Oktoberfest is back with the beer, schnitzel and Oom-pah music that you love. Enjoy a selection of beers from German and domestic breweries as well as authentic German fare. If safety protocols allow, we’ll have annual games like the keg toss, yodeling contest and stein holding. Tickets will be available to purchase soon and they will be limited!

Stowe:

  • Auto Toll Road: Zig and zag your way to the summit ridge of Mt. Mansfield along the historic Toll Road, where stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains await you. Open daily from 9:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. through October 17 (weather permitting).

Sugarbush:

  • Fresh Hops Festival – October 10: Join us for Vermont’s first Fresh Hops Festival as we bring ten of Vermont’s most innovative breweries together to feature the special flavors of fresh hopped beer.
