(Source) Police say a man driving a John Deere lawnmower down a road in Bristol was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Claude Spaulding, 67, of Bristol, was stopped Monday on Lower Notch Road, police said. Police had gotten a report at about 1:30 p.m. that a man had been driving a lawnmower down Vermont 116.

During the traffic stop Spaulding showed signs of impairment and screened for driving under the influence of drugs. A court date is pending results from the Vermont Forensic Lab.
